Colliers' Investment Sales team has bolstered its brokerage capability with the progression of Will Bason, who is stepping into a sales and leasing role, focusing on Auckland’s southern suburbs.
The South Auckland commercial market has experienced a lift in activity over the past year, with sales, leasing, and enquiry levels strengthening.
In 2025, the high-performing Investment Sales team achieved more than $100 million in completed sales and leased over 16,000sq m of property across the wider Auckland region. These transactions were primarily in the office, retail, and fast-food sectors, but also spanned childcare, medical assets, and development land.
Bason brings cross-team business experience to his new role, having started as a Valuation Assistant before joining the Investment Sales team as a Team Assistant. Holding a conjoint Bachelor of Property and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland, he says a move into brokerage has always been the goal.

“I love the idea of chasing a challenge and working for yourself, where every day is different,” Bason says.
“Connecting with people is something I’m truly passionate about, and I’m excited for the opportunity to meet new clients and build meaningful relationships.”
Bason will partner with the experienced South Auckland Investment Sales specialists, focusing on East Tāmaki, Manukau, Takanini, and Panmure alongside other surrounding South Auckland suburbs.
As he transitions into his new role, Bason says he is eager to contribute to the momentum building in the South Auckland market.
“South Auckland presents so many opportunities.
“With its diverse assets and fast?growing landscape, it’s an exciting place to be.”
Outside of work, Bason plays Premier 1 rugby for North Shore in the North Harbour competition and has previously turned out for the New Zealand Universities team, as well as Auckland and North Harbour representative squads.
The Colliers Investment Sales team is led by Auckland Director David Burley, who says Bason has all the tools to succeed.
“Will is extremely focused and has a strong attention to detail. I expect he will replicate his previous high achievements academically and on the rugby field in brokerage,” Burley says.
“As we move into 2026 with a stable interest rate environment and growing levels of business confidence, we look forward to seeing what Will brings to our team.”
