• 1.6980ha (more or less) of freehold, residential-zoned land
• High-profile corner site with State Highway 3 frontage
• Residential, retirement living or large format retail potential (subject to council consent)
• Close to the CBD, Whanganui High School and Springvale Park
237 London Street occupies a high-profile corner of London Street and Purnell Street, Springvale. London Street forms part of State Highway 3, the arterial route linking Whanganui with Taranaki and Palmerston North, giving the site strong exposure to passing traffic. It sits close to the city centre, alongside Whanganui High School and the Springvale Park sports precinct.
The land comprises 1.6980ha (more or less) of freehold, residential-zoned land, largely level and regular in shape. Development land of this scale, this close to the city and on a primary arterial route, represents a standout opportunity in Whanganui. Whanganui District is home to more than 49,000 people and its population continues to grow. Housing remains affordable relative to the national average, underpinning demand for new residential product.
The residential zoning provides for subdivision and staged development, while the scale and exposure of the site suit retirement living and large format retail (all subject to consent). Offered with vacant possession, the property will appeal to developers, land bankers and owner occupiers, with a vendor committed to a result.
