The Colliers Investment Sales team have welcomed Bella Christie into a brokerage role with a focus on Auckland’s city fringe.
Christie has a wealth of industry and marketing experience, having worked in two of Colliers’ powerhouse offices, Highbrook and Christchurch, as well as working for one of New Zealand’s most active developers.
“I originally completed a Bachelor of Arts then studied a postgraduate diploma in business through the University of Canterbury,” Christie says.
“After I graduated, I started working at a property development company during the middle of the construction boom in Christchurch and was essentially thrown in the deep end. At 23, I was heavily involved in driving the marketing team during a particularly busy period.

“We were in the same office as the sales team, so I was constantly exposed to what they were doing. Hearing the conversations and seeing deals progress firsthand really sparked my interest."
Wanting to explore the industry further, she met with Courtney Doig, Director of Investment Sales in the Colliers Christchurch team, which led to her joining Colliers a few months later in a role within their marketing team.
“When I was in the Christchurch team, their office is very open plan, so I could hear the different teams – Industrial, Commercial, Retail, and I was drawn toward Investment Sales. I liked the range of assets they worked with, including heritage buildings, development sites, and iconic properties.
“In all honesty, Courtney is a big reason I'm where I am today. I was lucky to be able to work with her early on in my career. She’s phenomenal.”
Christie later relocated to Auckland to join Greg Goldfinch and his team in Colliers' award-winning Highbrook office, where she continued developing her brokerage knowledge and experience.
“I hadn’t worked in an Executive Assistant role before, so I thought it would be a good challenge. For me, the real value was gaining exposure to brokerage and seeing how deals came together from start to finish.”
