Colliers claimed five of the eight Commercial & Industrial awards at this week’s REINZ Awards for Excellence.

The business enjoyed success in individual, office, partnership, and deal categories, while also having multiple finalists in a collection of awards.

National Director of Industrial, Greg Goldfinch, became the first person to win the Commercial & Industrial Salesperson of the Year award for the fifth time, while Colliers North Shore received the small office gong for the eighth time in the past nine years.

Matt Prentice and Shoneet Chand, Directors in the Colliers North Shore office, were named Commercial & Industrial Sales Partnership of the Year, marking the fourth straight year they have collected a REINZ award.

Colliers Christchurch was named Commercial & Industrial Office of the Year – Medium, reflecting the strong performance of their team in the buoyant Canterbury economy.

“We are grateful to have won this award, and the Canterbury economy has enjoyed a continued period of growth recently that has coincided with strong property transaction volumes and capital entering our local market,” says Mark Macauley, General Manager of Colliers Christchurch.

“Our team members work incredibly hard and have all made a meaningful contribution to our office being recognised.”

Goldfinch and his colleague Todd Kuzmich also took out the Commercial & Industrial Leasing Deal of the Year award.

“It’s a privilege to have received these awards and it’s a nice moment to be able to share the leasing award with Todd, who recently marked 20 years with Colliers,” Goldfinch says.

“I am incredibly grateful to have the continued trust of our clients to advise them with their property decisions.”

Jimmy O’Brien, General Manager at Colliers Auckland North, leads the North Shore office and says being recognised again is a fantastic achievement.

“Winning this award for the eighth time says a lot about the consistency of this team. We’ve built a culture where people back each other, work hard, and genuinely care about achieving the best result for our clients.

“In a competitive industry, maintaining that standard year after year is something we’re extremely proud of. This award belongs to the whole team.”

Colliers also had finalists in many of the Commercial & Industrial awards, including Highbrook (Office of the Year – Medium), Christchurch-based Sam Staite (Salesperson of the Year), Tauranga’s Dan Rae (Rising Star Salesperson of the Year), and the Capital Markets team of Peter Herdson, Richard Kirke, Josh Coburn, and Blair Peterken (Sales Partnership of the Year).

Prentice and Chand were also finalists in the Supreme Sales Performance of the Year – All Disciplines award.

Meanwhile, George Fox, Rural Sales Advisor at Colliers Canterbury, was named Rural Rising Star Salesperson of the Year.

“I was stoked to have been named as a finalist so to win this award is a great feeling. Thank you to my colleagues for the support I have received during the past 18 months.”

Gareth Fraser, CEO of Colliers New Zealand, says the awards are richly deserved for these hard-working teams and individual performers.

“To win five of the eight Commercial & Industrial awards reflects our dominance in this area of the property market. This success would not be possible without the continued support of our valued clients,” Fraser says.

“Congratulations to our award winners and thank you to the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand for hosting a great evening.”
