The Colliers Debt Advisory team specialises in maximising the value of real estate investments by securing the most competitive and well-structured capital.
Tim will work with Andrew Priest, rekindling a successful partnership having previously worked together in BNZ’s Structured Property Finance business.
Together they have financed over $1 billion in development lending. Their expertise covers various funding forms, including land acquisition, restructuring, development, investment, and syndications, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support.
The pair’s successful track record means they have built strong relationships across the property industry, including the wider Colliers team.
“I am excited to work with Andrew and leverage the best possible outcomes for our clients, including those across the Colliers business,” Tim says.
“Our main goal is to improve structure, price, and terms for investors or developers with regards to their lending requirements. If we achieve those outcomes, then that represents success.
“With interest rates easing, we believe there is an opportunity for borrowers to revisit pricing and terms of their existing facilities. This could include positioning for future acquisitions or development finance as we see renewed levels of confidence.”
Tim holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Valuation and Property Management.
Gareth Fraser, CEO of Colliers New Zealand, says the Debt Advisory sector is a key area for growth within Colliers and the organisation is committed to recruiting market-leading professionals.
“Darcy brings an extensive level of knowledge and expertise to the Debt Advisory team and his longstanding partnership with Andrew means we have a high-performing team that will be able to accelerate the success of our clients,” Fraser says.
“They have an extensive list of clients and have the ability to access offshore debt and capital via our vast international network.
“As the market continues to turn on the back of an improving interest rate environment our Debt Advisory team is well positioned to provide our clients with strategic advice and high-level expertise.”
