The Colliers Office Leasing team has started 2026 with the addition of two new brokers, Jackson Jarvie and Mike Gascoigne.
Led by Sam Gallaugher, who has more than 20 years of leasing experience, the team has 10 dedicated leasing brokers, including directors Paul Dyson and Rob Bird who have both worked at Colliers for more than 30 years.
The team was named Real Estate Agency Team of the Year at the RICS New Zealand Awards in 2023.
They brokered approximately 90 transactions across Auckland last year and have completed a majority of the city’s headline leasing deals in recent years for companies such as Beca, ASB, and Spark.

Jarvie moves into brokerage from his previous role as the team’s executive assistant, where he worked for two years after studying a Bachelor of Property at the University of Auckland.
His father Paul has worked in industrial brokerage in the Colliers Highbrook team for nearly 18 years.
“I had been around the Industrial team a lot as a kid because my dad worked for them. I loved the culture and people he had surrounding him and knew I wanted to be in a similar work environment one day,” Jarvie says.
“I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to meet and work with new people every day.”
Gascoigne, on the other hand, joins the team having spent the past 15 years in the building industry after beginning his professional career in the IT sector.
He has also successfully invested in residential property and completed a number of home renovations and development projects.
Like Jarvie he has strong family connections to the property industry as his mother worked as a residential agent for 25 years.
As he balances family life with work, Gascoigne says working in the commercial sector is the right fit for him.
“It’s incredibly exciting to have the opportunity to join Colliers and start the new year with a new challenge,” Gascoigne says.
“I am confident that my broad knowledge of the property industry that I have accumulated throughout my career will put me in a strong position to succeed and I am looking forward to learning from an experienced team.”
Jarvie will specialise in the Auckland CBD, while Gascoigne will focus on the city fringe suburbs such as Parnell and Newmarket.
Gallaugher says the new additions bring a range of skills that will complement the team.
“We welcome Jackson into the brokerage ranks and know he will bring plenty of enthusiasm to the role. He has proven himself to be a quick learner during his time working with us and I am confident he has the right attitude to thrive in brokerage,” Gallaugher says.
“Mike’s knowledge of the property sector and experience in the building and development space means he will bring a strong understanding of how to deal with clients and work to provide them with the best possible outcomes.
“With multiple projects underway or set to come online in the next few years in Auckland such as 35 Graham Street, Britomart Central, the Symphony Centre, and the development of the Downtown Car Park, there is a strong need for us to grow our team to meet future tenant demand.
“The impending opening of the City Rail Link will also generate more enthusiasm for the midtown area in the CBD and drive considerable foot traffic through that precinct. Our dedicated specialists have the expertise to assist with any leasing requirements across Auckland.”
