Colliers claimed five of the six Commercial & Industrial awards at the 2025 REINZ Awards for Excellence in Auckland on Monday night.

For the seventh time in eight years, the North Shore office won Commercial & Industrial Office of the Year – Small, while Colliers Highbrook was named Commercial & Industrial Office of the Year – Medium.

Colliers Christchurch was also a finalist in the medium office category and the Auckland CBD office was a finalist in the Commercial & Industrial Office of the Year – Large award.

Led by Jimmy O’Brien, the North Shore office specialises in the sales and leasing of commercial property from the industrial sector through to retail and office space.

“I’m so proud that our team has taken out this award again this year. It’s a true reflection of our collaborative culture, the tenure of our team, the trust we have in each other, and some good old-fashioned fun that makes this team a pleasure to lead,” O’Brien says.

Greg Goldfinch, National Director of Industrial, leads the Highbrook office and says he is thrilled they have been recognised again.

“It’s a proud moment for us to have won this award for the 10th time in 12 years and highlights the exceptional work that was put in by our team.”

North Shore Directors Matt Prentice and Shoneet Chand won the Overall Commercial & Industrial Salesperson of the Year award. This award is for salespeople that work in a partnership and the duo have claimed it for three consecutive years.

“It’s an honour to have received this award again and we remain grateful to our clients who continue to place their trust in us,” Chand says.

Prentice says their success has been down to a continued focus on their clients and a thorough understanding of the markets they operate in.

“The expansion of the north-west industrial precinct in Auckland has opened up significant opportunities for businesses and contributed to positive market activity.”

Meanwhile, Sam Staite won the Individual Commercial & Industrial Salesperson of the Year award for the third year in a row, while Office Leasing Broker Devon Grantley-Hogg was named Individual Commercial and Industrial Rising Star Salesperson of the Year.

“I am grateful to have taken this award again and it is a testament to the growth of the Canterbury region that is underpinned by strong commercial activity and ongoing development,” Staite says.

The Individual Commercial & Industrial Salesperson of the Year category was one of particular strength for Colliers given Highbrook Directors Goldfinch and Hamish West were the other two finalists.

Grantley-Hogg carries on a strong run of success for Colliers in the Rising Star award that has previously been won by Marius Ogg (2023), Calum Ironside (2021), and David Burley (2018).

“Being recognised with this prestigious award is an honour and a privilege. A big thanks must go to my colleagues and clients and I look forward to continuing with this momentum in the industry.”

Colliers was also a finalist in the realestate.co.nz Best Multimedia Marketing Award for its work on the Spedding Road campaign in West Auckland, while Breanna Hodges from Colliers Christchurch was a finalist in the Personal Assistant of the Year (Non-Selling) category.

Gareth Fraser, CEO of Colliers New Zealand, says these awards underscore the dedication and commitment of the teams and individuals who stood out amid changing market conditions.

“Seeing Colliers as the most-awarded agency in the Commercial & Industrial categories reflects our expertise in this area of the property market and we are incredibly proud of the hard-working teams and individuals we have in our business,” Fraser says.

“Congratulations to all of our winners and I’d like to personally thank our clients for their continued loyalty to Colliers.”
