Logan Pollard has joined the Colliers Retail Leasing team as a Broker with a focus on central and eastern Auckland suburbs.
He spent the better part of the past six years working for a luxury jeweller after completing his studies, graduating from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and Criminology.
A friend who works at Colliers encouraged him to consider a career in brokerage and introduced him to Auckland Managing Director Charles Cooper to learn more.
“One of my close friends, Olivia Elder, who works as a Property Manager, told me that whenever I was ready to make that jump, she’d put me in touch with the right people,” Pollard says.

“About a year ago, I finally took her up on it and I met with Charles Cooper. He was amazing, he connected me with a few other people and made sure I was absolutely ready to make the move.”
The Colliers Retail Leasing team specialises in leasing retail property and new developments. Some of the major projects they have recently worked on include the leasing of premium outlet shopping centre Mānawa Bay near Auckland Airport and large format developments in Nelson and West Auckland.
Their Brokers also have a focus on strip retail and leasing space in the assets being developed or managed by the Colliers Real Estate Management Services team.
After gaining his real estate licence and joining the team, Pollard is excited to translate his background in retail sales into helping match tenants with the right site for their business.
“Retail leasing was the logical next step. I know what it’s like to be on the ground as a retailer and trying to create that client experience.
"For me, the product always came second to the relationships and the people, and that’s what I professionally live by because ultimately, people are the ones making the decisions.
“I think that translates well into property. It’s important to build those relationships and gain trust, so you can be the connector to help find the right tenant for the right site.
"I’ve been so lucky to join a team of people who are constantly there to provide advice and I’m excited to start meeting tenants.”
