In the last four years alone, he has installed a new entertainer’s kitchen, renovated the bathrooms, and redesigned the swimming pool, replacing the dark blue hue with an aquamarine flavour.
The house, which has an RV of almost $6m, offers spacious living on the second floor, with over-height windows and glass doors making the most of the sparkling swimming pool and the mature subtropical garden.
A substantial kitchen and entertaining space has dual ovens, a built-in coffee machine, and a waterfall-edge stone island. An additional living area has a powder room alongside.
Both living spaces flow out to a sheltered alfresco living area, with an open fireplace near the salt-water pool, which the grandchildren adore.
The top floor is devoted to the bedrooms. The north-facing master suite has a balcony, walk-through wardrobe, and a luxurious ensuite.
Three more bedrooms and two more stylish bathrooms complete this level. “We’re big on family entertaining with our grandchildren. They all stay over and love the beach, heading down there for morning walks.”
The couple are selling up so they can downsize to a single-level home.
Barfoot & Thompson listing agent Aaron Foss says: “I love the rare corner position with dual access; it has effortless flow to multiple living areas and outdoor zones. With harbour views and a lift, it offers an exceptional coastal lifestyle.”
