Opportunities of this scale, position and versatility rarely come to market in the heart of Geraldine.
Prominently positioned on a prime corner site along Geraldine’s main street, this substantial 3,575sqm freehold property presents an exceptional opportunity to secure a high-profile tourism, hospitality, retail and entertainment asset with significant scope for further value creation.
Strategically positioned midway between Christchurch and Queenstown, Geraldine is a natural stopover for travelers journeying between two of the South Island’s key destinations. The property has been purpose-built to capitalise on this location, providing visitors with a convenient place to stop, while also catering to the wider South Canterbury market.
The property combines an established well known large café, extensive retail and entertainment space, purpose-built tourism facilities, onsite bus parking, conference rooms and a diverse range of entertainment offerings, including golf, car and plane simulators and karaoke.
The substantial site benefits from multiple accessways, extensive yard space and ample onsite parking, providing excellent functionality for the existing operation and flexibility for future development.
The building also offers considerable flexibility for an astute purchaser. It can continue to operate as one substantial destination business or potentially be configured as a multi-tenanted investment, with the established café providing an additional income stream and enhancing the overall tenancy mix.
With its prominent corner position, generous landholding, established commercial infrastructure and strategic location on the Christchurch–Queenstown route, 38 Waihi Terrace represents a rare opportunity to secure a significant freehold going concern in one of Geraldine’s most visible locations.
