“It was a true labour of love,” says owner Tiffani, recalling the construction of this stylish family home, which was completed in 2023.
Having bought the property in 2019, she and husband Todd briefly considered remodelling the 1990s residence that was originally on the site.
“But then we decided to bite the bullet, move it off, and start from scratch – although Covid’s arrival and the lockdowns meant everything took longer than expected.”
It was a decision the couple has never regretted, and Tiffani says that they really enjoyed the process.

“Our vision was for a home with excellent flow between the interior and the decking and lush, subtropical gardens outside. Street appeal was important but not as much as the ‘wow factor’ inside, behind the fences.”
Tiffani says they carefully chose the best materials available, in collaboration with interior designer Sonya Cotter. “Sonya and I have worked together before and are very much on the same wavelength. She taps into fantastic products and suppliers.”
Those products often have a very earthy flavour – especially for bathrooms.
“I think it’s touches like the cedar ceiling in the lounge, the Italian stone in the kitchen, wooden floorboards and sophisticated built-in dining area that really stand out and make our new home feel warm, classic and timeless,” Tiffani adds.
The kitchen, which is ultra-stylish, yet comfortable and welcoming, has a giant island where family and friends love to gather and a separate butler’s pantry, combined with laundry, is adjacent.

An ensuited bedroom on the ground floor is ideal for guests, and there’s also a home office and media room on this level. The primary suite is upstairs in its own wing – complete with a fully fitted wardrobe and ensuite, while across the hall are two further bedrooms, each with a bathroom.
Tiffani says that while the house is designed with a family in mind, two of Todd’s and her children have suddenly grown up and moved overseas. “So, it’s really rather too large for us now.”
Tiffani says that she and Todd have loved living in their dream dwelling but with only one child still at home, they’ve decided to pursue new opportunities.
While they will undoubtedly miss their beautiful surroundings including the horizon pool, outdoor fireplace and entertaining areas – plus the compact home gym at the rear of the garage and their super-friendly neighbours in Hanene Street, they’ll be moving on feeling incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved and the rich legacy they’re leaving behind.
