• Prime location: heart of Alexandra's retail and commercial precinct
• Flexible use: backpacker/seasonal worker accommodation or retail conversion
• Vacant possession investment opportunity
• Owner-operator retail with living/accommodation on-site
A genuine investment opportunity or ready-made business in a standout location, the former Central Backpackers Alexandra has just come to market, being offered as vacant possession. This versatile, multi-purpose property is well suited to seasonal worker accommodation, backpacker lodging, a combination of both, or, given its commercial zoning and shop frontage, a retail or services operation.
Positioned in the heart of Alexandra's retail and commercial precinct, directly opposite the Alexandra Community Memorial Centre, the property offers nine bedrooms across two separate units, providing capacity for up to 29 guests. Recently upgraded double-glazing ensures each room benefits from plenty of natural light while remaining warm and quiet.
Guest flow is well managed even at full occupancy, with three bathrooms, three toilets, and two showers in total. Upstairs, a renovated kitchen features modern fittings and generous bench space, ideal for catering to residents or guests alike.
The top floor also opens onto a light-filled dining area and a north-facing sunroom, a pleasant space to relax, read, or take in the view. Outside, an elevated backyard provides further amenity for guests.
The location is hard to beat: shops, cafes, and everyday essentials are all within easy walking distance, and ample on-site parking is available for both residents and visitors.
Whether you are seeking an owner-operator looking to live and work from one premise, or a savvy investor, this is a rare opportunity to secure a property in a sought-after position; this offering warrants serious consideration.
