Colliers invites proposals from café operators for the new café tenancy within the redevelopment of Avonhead Mall, on the corner of Merrin Street and Withells Road.
Part of the community for more than 50 years, Avonhead Mall is entering its next chapter as a modern, refreshed centre anchored by an expanded Woolworths, more than double its current size. The café will be one of a limited number of specialty tenancies, with outdoor seating and landscaped surrounds, joining other new operators and existing tenant Merrin Street Brewery Bar.
The proposed café offers approximately 130 sqm of internal space and 77 sqm of outdoor seating area, with frontage to the main car park. The layout and outdoor area offer scope for an operator to bring their own café concept to the centre.
The centre serves an established residential catchment, with Merrin School directly next door and Avonhead School nearby. The University of Canterbury, Summerset Village and Christchurch Airport are also close by. Woolworths will draw shoppers throughout the day, while access from both Merrin Street and Withells Road and generous on-site parking make it easy for customers to stop in.
Operators are invited to put forward their proposed concept, relevant experience and commercial terms for consideration.
