Having examined thousands of properties through his work as director of a valuation practice, Liam knew this one was particularly special when he and wife Lizzie saw it in 2015.

Lizzie appreciates its safety, down its own driveway behind automated gates. They loved the outlook and location but saw potential to improve the more than 400sqm home. They stripped its interior and upgraded it throughout in 2017 and 2018, utilising Lizzie’s eye for design.

Liam says: “We particularly enjoy sitting out there to socialise and can enjoy the water activities and admire the colourful sunsets”.
This level’s entire northerly side flows out to decks, including the spacious living-dining room at the centre of the layout. Next is the master bedroom with its own sitting room and balcony, generous wardrobing and good-sized ensuite.
Lizzie says: “I love my bedroom because I can lie there just looking at the trees, the birds and the water, it is so peaceful”. The ensuite’s impressive Murano mirror, teamed with a mirrored vanity, showcases her love of Murano glass.

The couple have had landscapers evolve and maintain the property’s planting. Downstairs four bedrooms (one ensuite) all open out to the pool area. There’s another bathroom, laundry with kitchenette facilities so guests can make their own cup of coffee, plus a man cave/wine cellar.
Liam says: “There’s an easy boardwalk down to the water and when the tide is in it’s breathtaking. I’ll swim across the water and back or take grandchildren out on a paddleboard or kayak, which they love.”
The couple plan to downsize.
