A high country station renowned for its fine wool production, located at the entrance to the Mackenzie Country in the South Island, is being offered to the market for sale.
Glenrock Station, 495 Haldon Road, Lake Tekapo, spans 14,058ha and the property offers a mix of land classes, providing farm system flexibility with the enviable advantage of an irrigation supply to approximately 80ha of its flats.
The property has been faithfully farmed by the REDA group from Italy for 25 years and spans three pastoral lease runs and freehold tenure.
The three complementary Crown pastoral lease runs include the 7,185ha Holbrook Run, the 2,619ha Rollesby Run, and the 3,895ha Glenrock Run.

Pastoral leases carry a perpetual, automatic right of renewal, ensuring continuous tenure equivalent in certainty to freehold ownership, and are run for 33-year terms.
Lessees hold exclusive possession of the land and enjoy full rights of quiet enjoyment, together with ownership and control of all authorised pastoral uses and improvements, including fencing, tracks, buildings, and other infrastructure.
In practical effect, the tenure provides long-term, secure, and exclusive landholding rights comparable to freehold, subject only to the conditions of the lease.
The Station supports an average carrying capacity of 11,096 stock units, comprising approximately 84 per cent fine wool sheep and 16 per cent Angus beef cattle.
Service towns such as Lake Tekapo (14km) and Fairlie (30km) are a short drive away, while the closest main centre is Timaru, which is approximately 85km south-east via State Highway 8.
Colliers Rural Sales Advisors Richard O'Sullivan and Ruth Hodges have been exclusively appointed to market the property for sale via deadline private treaty, closing at 2pm on Thursday 18 June, unless sold prior.
There is an extensive amount of existing infrastructure at the farm, including a three-bedroom homestead at Glenrock and a three-bedroom cottage. There are also shearers' quarters, a woolshed, and various other implement, storage, and hay sheds.
There are two dwellings at Holbrook, as well as a main woolshed, garage, and a covered sheep race.
O'Sullivan, Director of Rural at Colliers Canterbury, says the farm has a good standard of improvements and access with established tracks.
"The property is a consistent performer due to its balance of productive lower country and extensive high country land, along with the addition of pivot-irrigated land that has the potential to be expanded under current consents," O'Sullivan says.
"Alongside the farm operations, the tourism and game hunting opportunities are plentiful in this location and add another dimension to this already impressive property. "
Glenrock Station is located in an area with a relatively dry climate with moisture deficits in summer.
Winters are long, with up to 150 frost days per year, and snow will lie for long periods in the high country, particularly on areas of south aspect.
Rollesby is slightly closer to the wetter coastal climate near Fairlie, but generally has a relatively dry climate, with moisture deficits in summer.
Access to Glenrock Station is via Haldon Road, which branches off State Highway 8.
Haldon Road runs north to south along the western boundary of Glenrock. The property can also be accessed from the east via the Mackenzie Pass Road, which runs past the southern boundary of the Glenrock lease.
Hodges, Director of Colliers Rural & Agribusiness in Otago and Southland, says commercially viable parcels of high country land such as this one are rarely available for purchase.
"This property has a desirable combination of good on-farm infrastructure, a track record of high performance, and future growth capabilities," Hodges says.
