What would you do if you had the chance to have your rent or mortgage paid for a year?
Aucklander Janine Whitehead had the opportunity to save more than $736 a week after winning the The Hits Live Free contest in conjunction with OneRoof.
But Janine, who lives in Red Beach, on the Hisbiscus Coast, had other ideas in mind when she joined The Hits hosts on stage following her win.
She wanted to give the prize to her work colleague, whose 11-year-old son Reuben has cancer.

"I want to pay it forward," she said. "Robin is my workmate and his son was diagnosed with leukaemia just after Christmas. I'm going to pay their rent of $610 a week."
Robin, who joined Janine on stage with his son, was astounded by the gift, describing it as "just amazing".
Janine said: "[I want to] pay his rent so that they don’t have to worry about money. His wife just had to give up work and she's a nurse and they have four kids."
Janine was the third key winner in the contest. Finalist were invited to pick a key from a bowl, only one of which opened the Live Free door behind which was the prize.
