The Warmer Kiwi Homes heat pump subsidy is available to owner-occupiers living in homes built before 2008 who either hold a Community Services Card or a Super Gold Combo Card, or live in areas identified as low-income. The programme is specifically for homes without a fixed heating source in the living room.
In addition to the above criteria, your home must also be insulated to Warmer Kiwi Homes standards (ceiling and underfloor). If it isn’t, you may also qualify for insulation support homeowners can receive a grant covering 80–90% of the cost of insulation, on top of up to 80% off a heat pump.
