He told OneRoof he spared no expense in creating the elegant and ultra-luxurious environment at 83 Griggs Road – high on a hill on 2.35ha site where the valley below is often cloaked in ethereal mists.
“It feels as if nature is all around you, seeing the bush and the hills,” the owner of 200 Property Ltd tells OneRoof.

He put a lot of thought and care into the layout of the house, which was designed by JVC Architectural Design. He and his wife undertook overseas exploratory trips – looking at similar-size homes for inspiration – and were determined to get everything right down to the very last detail.
The property occupies an astonishing 725sqm, reached through an imposing front entrance, which opens into the main hallway where the marble staircase plays its dramatic starring role, just as the vendor had imagined.

A giant dining and entertaining zone, lies at the heart of the home, in an enormous double-height atrium space with panelled walls and timber flooring.
He says this has been the scene of sumptuous family feasts – prepared in the fully equipped, super-sized scullery, to leave the main designer kitchen pristine for guests to admire.
All seven bedrooms have ensuites and the master suite’s dressing room, and spa-style bathroom are packed with high-end fixtures.

The vendor has started landscaping the area around the house, which has three-car garaging, and notes there’s still significant potential for a green-fingered new owner to continue the work and make the garden truly beautiful.
He and his wife are now planning to build an equally – or possibly even more impressive home, nearby.
Harcourts listing agent Manoj Hooda says that the property - both inside and outside - had left an impression on potential buyers.
“Photos simply cannot do it justice and people especially love the panelling and the custom-made heavy doors.”
He says that the property is incredibly secluded, with the nearest neighbours quite a distance away.
Occupants can sit outside at the back enjoying beautiful countryside views and there’s a little path into the bush for walking and enjoying the native bird life.
“It’s like having your very own private reserve.”
With all the amenities of Flat Bush and Botany for shopping, dining and entertainment just a short drive away – as well as enjoying easy access to Auckland Airport – the property is zoned for excellent local schools including Botany Downs Secondary College, Our Lady Star of the Sea School Howick, and Somerville Intermediate School.
Hooda says with its handy location it’s no wonder this attractive neighbourhood is becoming increasingly popular.
