A property coach who deleted his social media presence after a video emerged of him slapping a shareholder of his company in a training video is now selling three prominent properties in the Far North.
Former Wealth Mentor chief executive Kyron Gosse made headlines earlier this year after Savannah Carter posted a video of him slapping her.
Carter posted the video on her personal Instagram account in May. The clip showed Gosse slapping her while she was filming promotional and educational content for the company in 2024.
Gosse walks onto the set and says, “Stop trying to be perfect, come here”, and then slaps her. When she says, “I can’t believe you just slapped me, that’s on camera,” he replies, “So? I own the footage.”

Carter told RNZ that anti-bullying initiative Pink Shirt Day had prompted her to speak out about the incident.

Gosse told OneRoof this week that he had moved offline after “a few PR issues” and he planned to keep it that way. “So, all my stuff is offline and to be honest I’m probably not going back onto socials. I quite enjoy it, it gives me a lot of free time.”
When asked if he wanted to comment on the slap, he said: “Not really because it’s with lawyers.”
Carter said she took issue with Gosse calling the slap a “PR issue”. “Labelling it a PR issue is laughable because it’s a video of him committing assault and he created the PR issue by sending me a cease and desist [order], which is what led to the media picking it up.”

She confirmed that as of a few weeks ago she was no longer a shareholder of Wealth Mentor. “I lost a significant amount of money,” she told OneRoof.
Gosse is still a director of Wealth Mentor and is now sharing his time between New Zealand and Bali. He said his property portfolio was separate from his company, and that the properties at 30, 32, 34 Selwyn Road, in Paihia, were the only ones he had listed for sale.
He told OneRoof he still had a lot of projects on the go in New Zealand, including a 21-lot development on the Waitangi River, in the Far North, and a community farm in Mangawhai.
“I’ve got a lot of projects on the go so trying to simplify, and that’s sort of the plan for selling,” he said.

He bought 30, 32 and 34 Selwyn Road at a mortgagee sale for $1.3m in August 2024 after a friend shared the listing with him.
Gosse said as soon as he purchased it, he obtained resource consent to convert the land to car parking with five overnight campervan berths to get some cash. “I picked it up at mortgagee sale, so I never really had a plan,” he said.
“I’m not forced to sell, and it won’t go for a steal. When the new CVs were locked in recently I was pleasantly surprised and decided to take it to tender to see how the market would value it. If I can get around the CV, and I could free up some capital I will let it go, otherwise I will eventually get around to developing it and holding it long term.”
In her listing on OneRoof, Ray White agent Leonie Brittain describes the properties as “prime coastal landholdings”.
The three properties have a combined footprint of 2280sqm and include a commercial premises, a derelict house and a three-bedroom property with a self-contained unit. They are being pitched at investors, developers or land bankers. There is also a current resource consent for a proposed development including tourist cabins and car parking facilities.
