Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? No, it’s just two Christchurch real estate agents singing Bohemian Rhapsody and having a laugh.

Ray White agents Elpi Lakakis and Becks Adendorff’s latest social media post announcing the quick sale of a property on Francis Street, in Mairehau, has gone nuts.
The real estate pair’s funny, awkward and slightly off-tune rendition of the Queen classic has hit a note with viewers, gaining a whopping 626,000 views so far.
The business partners of seven years started filming fun real estate videos at the end of October. Lakakis told OneRoof that they hired Blue Bananas Media to help them increase their almost non-existent social media presence, and so far, the investment seems to be paying off.

The Bohemian Rhapsody parody is the latest in a string of their videos to go viral. A musical parody of the Ghostbusters theme tune promoting themselves as agents who can sell homes others can’t reached over 48,000 views, while a video of them being chased by the monster from Stranger Things to Kate Bush’s song Running Up That Hill has clocked almost 100,000.
Other videos have the agents, who trade as Elpi and Becks, turning into birds and fireworks. One even has them throwing a shoe at a passerby as a ruse to show customers literally banging at their doors.
Blue Bananas Media comes up with the scripts based on what the two agents are selling or have sold.
“They have the imagination, and they just decide what they feel would be right for each property and what would suit it," Lakakis said.

Both agents have learned to trust the process, although they are never too sure what will land in their inbox.
“We’ve never said we are not doing that, we’ve always agreed to what they’ve sort of sent, but it’s more the working around it because the Christchurch market is different to other markets,” Lakakis said.
Adendorff added: “They’ve had a whole lot of ideas over this period of time, and our reactions are, 'This will be fun.'”
They now spend about an hour a day creating reels, taking turns in front of and behind the camera. Some of the videos are simple, while others require around 40 shots.
Once they’ve compiled all the content, they send it back to the media agency to edit.

The first video to go viral was of Adendorff bursting into flames to Katy Perry’s Firework.
The pair said the videos were a bit of unfiltered fun, and they hoped other people felt the same way. What they didn't want to be was boring. “We just want people to laugh with us, really. We are not perfect with everything, but we sell houses, and we know how to do it,” Lakakis said.
Adendorff told OneRoof that the response - from both their own families and from strangers - had been “positive”.
Lakakis's granddaughter was a big fan, and Adendorff’s husband liked most of them. “He thinks some stuff is a bit silly, but then it gets likes, and he’s like, 'that’s what it’s all about.'”
The pair's Instagram account has exploded, with the number of followers jumping from around 100 to 1500 in less than four months.
While their foray into social media is relatively new, the pair have been working together for over seven years.
Lakakis took Adendorff under her wings when she was a rookie agent and mentored her for the first six months of her real estate career. They hit it off, and a short time later, they decided to join forces. “We see each other more than we see our hubbies, so you have to [have fun],” Adendorff said.
