Revenue is earned through repeat prescriptions, retail health products, vaccinations, NZ Post and pharmacy-led services. Green Cross Health and Unichem provide brand recognition, marketing, customer loyalty, systems, buying support and professional development, while automated dispensing technology supports workflow and accuracy and allows the pharmacists to do what they should – engaging and assisting the customers.
New chains are entering Invercargill, but Waikiwi remains established in its northern catchment.
Growth is supported by expanded Sleep Apnoea services, vaccination activity, clinical pharmacy support, online ordering and delivery, improved retail execution and owner-led development of the existing Health Hub and Women's Health Expert services.
