ABOUT FRANKLIN 265
The Franklin 265 is a four bedroom pavilion style home, with all bedrooms plus a retreat located in the left wing of the home. The master bedroom is complete with a walk-in robe and ensuite.
As you enter the home, the kitchen, dining and living areas are to the right. An expansive alfresco behind the entrance divides the left and right wings of the home, and opens out from the living and dining area – on 1.24 hectares it faces the sun and looks over the paddocks to the harbour. Butler's pantry and laundry sit behind the garage.
The Franklin 265 in the Scandi facade is built for a site like this. North-facing, almost level, and open country, sky and water all round. There's room for a minor dwelling later, once the groundworks are in.
ABOUT HINAMOKI KAIWAKA
Hinemoki is a gated estate of acre blocks on the shores of the Kaipara Harbour. A pool, a tennis court, a clubhouse, stables and a horse arena. Kayaks go in off the harbour. There are ponies and alpacas over most of the fences. It's a stunning, open setting of hills, water and sky.
ABOUT KAIWAKA
Kaiwaka is the crossing between two coasts. Māori carried canoes through here, from Mangawhai over to the Kaipara. The harbour runs inland to the west in long tidal arms, the surf is fifteen minutes the other way, and the village sits in the hills between them under Pukekaroro.
It's a small village that works, with Four Square, the school, the cheese shop, Eutopia and the pub, all on the highway. Mangawhai Village and the Heads for the surf, the golf and the cafés. Warkworth twenty-five minutes south.
Auckland gets closer, with the new motorway from Warkworth to Te Hana coming. Country coastal living, with easy access in both directions.
