Rare panoramic views, private backyard retreat

Some homes have a view. This one feels like a retreat.

Set on an impressive 1,555sqm site at the most northerly point of Te Atatu Peninsula, this substantial 322sqm split-level family home delivers exceptional space, versatility and sweeping 180-degree-plus coastal views.

What makes the outlook particularly special is where you enjoy it from. While many Peninsula homes capture their views from the front, here the panorama opens out across the private rear of the home and backyard - allowing you to relax and entertain away from the street.

Sunrise and sunset are equally magical, with uninterrupted vistas that become part of everyday life. In an absolute waterfront position, the outlook can never be built out - a rare sense of openness and permanence you simply never tire of.

Despite being so close to the city, the setting feels worlds away - more like the relaxed coastal environment of a bach or holiday home, yet here you can enjoy it every day. If you've ever dreamed of living permanently at your beach house without giving up the convenience of Auckland, this is the kind of property that lets you have both.

The views feature throughout much of the home, including the kitchen, dining room, formal lounge, family room and rumpus room.

Designed across split levels rather than multiple full storeys, the layout provides excellent separation between living and accommodation zones. There are four bedrooms plus a large study, huge formal lounge, spacious family room, large dining room and separate rumpus room.

The downstairs rumpus offers fantastic flexibility as a teenagers' retreat, man cave, gym, billiards or games room.

There are three bathrooms, including a spacious ensuite to the master suite, which also features a large wardrobe and dressing area. The master bedroom windows have also been retrofitted with double glazing.

For relaxing and entertaining there is a spa and sauna, while everyday comforts include air conditioning, gas cooking, gas and electric water heating, plus solar panels with battery storage.

An impressive triple-car garage with drive-through access, separate laundry and extensive attic storage add even more practicality.

Outside, the private backyard combines those extraordinary views with beautiful, colourful established gardens offering year-round appeal and an orchard with a myriad of fruit trees.

And if you love being on the water, bring the kayaks - simply walk out through the backyard and launch straight into the harbour.

You can also access the coastal walkway following the Peninsula's shoreline, making morning walks and evening strolls part of everyday life.

Te Atatu Peninsula combines this relaxed coastal setting with convenient motorway access and transport options, along with its popular village atmosphere, cafés, restaurants, shops, library and community facilities.
