About Steve Low

A lifelong Bay of Plenty local, Steve Low has seen the region evolve from traditional dairy and citrus farming into a global hub for kiwifruit. Steve has not just been a witness to this transformation he has been part of it. Starting with the development of his family’s land, Steve moved into key roles within the post-harvest and export sectors during the 1990s, helping to shape the infrastructure that underpins the kiwifruit industry’s global success today.

Steve’s passion for horticulture does not stop at kiwifruit. He also played a leading role in the development of avocado orchards, plant nurseries, and has successfully launched manufacturing businesses. His broad agribusiness experience, paired with practical, firsthand knowledge, makes him a unique and trusted voice in the rural real estate space.

For 16 years, Steve and his wife Kellie called their lifestyle block in Oropi home, raising three children and building a life connected to the land. That experience has deepened his empathy for clients looking to create their own slice of rural paradise and fuels his genuine desire to help others do just that.

In 2022/23, Steve was proud to be named Bayleys National Rural Rookie of the Year, a recognition of both his professional excellence and his deep dedication to the rural sector.
Steve is known for his relaxed, approachable style, balanced with professionalism and drive. Backed by Bayleys’ powerful brand and marketing reach, he brings energy, honesty, and innovative thinking to every property journey.

When he is not helping clients, Steve is often outdoors golfing, biking the Redwoods, fishing, or catching waves through the Surfing for Farmers initiative. His love for the land and lifestyle is not just professional - it is personal.
