About Stephen Horsfall

Originally from the north of England, I worked as a self-employed bricklayer and spent six months travelling New Zealand. I quickly fell in love with the beauty and freedom this country offers, which led my partner and me to emigrate and settle in Putaruru in the early 1980s. In 2013, we moved to Tirau where we’ve extensively renovated our home. I also joined the Tirau Volunteer Fire Brigade, which has allowed me to stay connected and give back to the local community.

Driven by a strong desire to be involved in the community, I joined Kiwanis in the late 1980s and later became a volunteer with St John Ambulance in 1994, qualifying as an ICO/Paramedic in 2002. I continued working in construction until 2008, when my passion for ambulance work led me to become a full-time officer based in Putaruru.

I established my own small building contracting business, working across a wide range of construction areas. Notably, I was involved in the early development of Rangiura Village, as well as the expansion and maintenance of its main care home.

After semi-retiring from St John and gaining my real estate license in February 2020, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the social and professional interactions that come with helping clients buy and sell property. I’m dedicated to every task and always strive to achieve the best possible results.

With around 40 years of experience in the building industry—covering rural, industrial, and predominantly residential sectors—I bring extensive construction knowledge and practical insight. This enables me to offer valuable advice when preparing your property for sale.

Real estate has proven to be a fantastic avenue for combining my passion for helping people with my expertise in construction. I’m committed to guiding you through your property journey and achieving the best possible outcome every step of the way.
