About Peter Fitzwater
Peter was born, raised & educated in Sydney. He completed a 4 year photography certificate course in Sydney before embarking on a career in that field.
While working at Kodak Australia as a Technical Sales Rep for the Professional Photography Division he met & married Christine, a Timaru girl, transferred to Christchurch to continue his role with Kodak New Zealand (1994).
An opportunity arose in 1995 to acquire the first Muffin Break store in the South Island at Riccarton Mall, now Westfield Riccarton. This was followed by the first Jamaica Blue store in the South Island, again at Riccarton plus a Muffin Break at the Bush Inn Centre. In all he had a total staff of 37.
A Bar/Restaurant/Café was bought as well as the iconic Globe Café which is located in the only remaining red zone part of the city.
All of his businesses have now been sold & Peter has been enjoying the outdoors with his Gardening/Mowing/Maintenance business, working with quite a few Real Estate agents fine tuning properties before them being put on the market.
The transition to Business Broker was an easy one as Peter completed his Licence over the last couple of months.
Asked “why should someone use you” he said that being in some kind of sales role for the last 30 years, coupled with the experience of buying & selling his own businesses, working within franchise systems, & now being a member of the award winning Grenadier Business Brokers Team, combined with the experience & guidance of the other 8 brokers, puts him a step ahead in his new role.
Peter believes in treating his clients with respect, commitment & diligence with his personable, honest, reliable & caring approach.
