Merv and Lianne are a well-established husband and wife rural, lifestyle and residential real estate team assuring good ongoing communication for all their clients.

Merv and Lianne started with Property Brokers Real Estate in August 2018 having previously worked for another real estate company for over 10 years. In 2012 Merv obtained his Branch Manager Certificate.

Merv has good negotiation skills with strong local knowledge, farming experience and proven sales history and Lianne has a Batchelor of Education (Teaching) 0-8 years and a Diploma in Business. Lianne has been working as Merv’s Personal Assistant since 2007 and has been selling residential and lifestyle real estate since joining Property Brokers in 2018.

Merv was born in Oamaru and has lived there all his life. Purchasing and owning his family farm for over 25 years in the Totara area North Otago. In 2007 the Dalziel family were awarded the CRT Century Farm Award for over 100 years of farm ownership. In 1996 Merv was awarded the Grasslands Memorial Trust Farmers Award for Excellence in Intensive Dryland Grassland Farming.

Through their employment at their previous agency Merv was awarded a Special Achievement Award for Business Development in Real Estate and achieved Top 10 Agents nationwide for four consecutive years and in 2017 Merv & Lianne were part of the Top Office in Oamaru for this agency. In 2023/2024 Merv was awarded 9th place for Rural sales person nationwide and for the Otago/Southland region 4th place overall for the region. In 2024/25 Merv was awarded 5th= in Otago and 2= in rural for the region.

Several years ago they invested in a side by side to ensure safety for their clients when viewing rural properties in wet, steep and slippery conditions which has been a great asset.

Merv & Lianne have extensive sub division experience through their real estate business and personally developing and marketing their own subdivision blocks and have built two homes
