An approach to business – and life – that leaves nothing to chance has seen her, together with husband John McFadden, build a real estate business from the ground up, from small beginnings to an internationally known franchise with a formidable reputation. Current (and long-standing) accolades include running the top residential office in New Zealand under the Harcourts brand and the top office nationally across all real estate companies. Despite all that she has achieved, including induction, together with John, into the Harcourts Hall of Fame in 2012, Lynette maintains a deep connection to her family including their two sons Harry and Louis, her whanau and her community as well as having a uniquely creative approach to business. At the same time, she has developed a growing portfolio of other endeavours, from contributing regular columns to several magazines, to public speaking engagements, business mentoring and, most recently, the formation of an interior staging company. Lynette has demonstrated time and again a remarkable capacity for rising to the challenge. Being able to perceive the bigger picture has enabled her to consider the complex – and sometimes competing – factors and factions, pulling together a workable strategy and then delivering on it. It’s an ability that requires a high level of creativity – together with a degree of intuition. Between mentorships, speaking engagements and the articles she writes, Lynette’s dedication to fearless leadership and her commitment to give back have led to a position of influence, where she hopes to inspire others to overcome their challenges and create their own extraordinary lives.
