I come with a lifetime of farming experience and still own and manage a beef fattening farm on which as a family have successfully raised turkeys commercially and had considerable success breeding thoroughbred racehorses.

The Kumeu district has been my home for over 50 years in which time I have played senior rugby for Western United, been a coach president and a life member of the Norwest Soccer Club. A term on the Board of Trustees of Taupaki School and committee involvement of the former acclimatisation society (now Fish and Game) has given me a rounded perception of what we value and enjoy in the greater Kumeu Area.
