Jenny Sanders joined the real estate industry the day the youngest of her 3 children turned 5 – and that was in 1983.   Her first sale was to the kindergarten teacher that her son had just left behind – and the senior kindergarten teacher was her second listing.

From there she sold a variety of property in South Auckland before taking up a management role then eventually owning her own real estate company.

As well as running her own business she was during this time elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the real estate group she belonged to and was appointed to the RDSC which is (or rather was) the disciplinary panel of the Real Estate Institute of NZ.  Her role there was to investigate complaints from the public and member against member.  The experience she gained from this role has been invaluable over the years as she mentored and trained salespeople to work to the highest possible standards of customer care.

A chance offer from a competitor saw her sell her company and attempt to leave the real estate business – but she only got as far as taking up a position as sales manager for a developer at Botany in South East Auckland.   When her job there was complete (219 apartments in total) she could resist the lure of real estate no longer and joined a company in South Auckland as company director.

In 2008 the company was sold and Jenny was invited to join Professionals in Tauranga as Sales Manager.   This was a role she still enjoys, but in 2011 she decided (with the blessing of the company management) to also take an active role in selling and listing real estate.

After 25 years working with salespeople she is finding dealing with the buying and selling public a welcome refreshing change – and she is loving the challenge.

Early Feb 2012 we contacted Jenny re buying a property as a home for our daughter that would also be suitable as a rental.
From our very first conversation, Jenny listened to what we wanted, showed us houses, and also liased with another real estate company when she thought one of their properties may have been suitable.
