Jen’s zest for life and innovative thinking is infectious. Ashburton folk may remember her from “Jen’s Kitchen Cooking School”, where she partnered with the local Jennian Homes kitchen centre to transform the showcase kitchen into a fully functioning, largescale kitchen, from which she offered quirky cooking classes appealing to children and adults alike. Then she started up NZ Wine Aspics Ltd, creating gourmet condiments and wine gelée, winning 2004 and 2006 awards at the prestigious foodie event SIAL Paris.

It’s this combination of innovative marketing and business skill with being able to perceive and imagine what will please people ­­– even realising it before they do – that now makes her an asset to real estate. She works across the residential and lifestyle sector but does have a special affinity with houses that have character or are in need of a bit of love and care – as her scouring of secondhand shops for little quirky things will attest.

Jen’s enthusiasm for the Canterbury area is also longterm and heartfelt. She grew up in mid-Canterbury and, after exploring other regions around New Zealand, is now happily settled back in the mid-Canterbury area, loving the easy access to the lakes and the many outdoor activities. Family time, cooking, gardening, horse riding and “making things” keeps her grounded.
