JD Hyslop is a Business Broker (DC, PharmD) with LINK Business, based in Auckland. Before moving into business broking, JD owned and grew businesses of his own, giving him a first-hand understanding of what's involved in getting a business ready for sale and achieving the best possible outcome for its owner. Clients consistently point to his direct yet approachable style, strong negotiation skills, and calm, structured management of the sale process, even through complex or drawn-out transactions. JD manages every stage of a sale, from positioning and buyer engagement through to negotiation and settlement, while coordinating closely with vendors, purchasers, and their lawyers, accountants and financiers. JD has experience across the full spectrum of business sales, from owner-operator businesses to transactions of $2 million and above, with deals up to $14 million. He works across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing and trades, wholesale and retail, hospitality, automotive and transport, professional and technical services, and lifestyle and tourism businesses, building an engaged network of buyers in each. His recent achievements include being named the 2026 LINK Broker of the Year New Zealand (#1) and receiving the 2026 LINK Deal of the Year New Zealand award, along with 2025 LINK Chairman's Club recognition and several other industry accolades. JD lives locally with his wife, Louise, and their two young sons. Outside of work, he and his family support local community organisations.
