Why I Love Southland

As I always say about Southland, it's the people. Southlanders are some of the most approachable, welcoming, and trustworthy people you'll ever meet. That's why my motto has always been: "People first, and the business will follow."

As someone who loves the outdoors, I feel fortunate to live in a place with so much natural beauty right at our doorstep. From our stunning mountains and pristine beaches to incredible walking tracks - and let's not forget the best river to row on in all of New Zealand (even if no one believes me!). Southland truly offers a lifestyle like no other. Our city is moving forward with energy and pride. With the exciting redevelopment of our inner city, Southland is growing in ways that set us apart from many other regions and through it all, what stands out is how proud we are to call this place home.
