Jacob is a Southland local, having grown up on his 300-hectare family sheep and beef farm in Northern Southland. Here, he learned the value of having a strong work ethic. He has spent the past seven years working in the agricultural industry, first on a dry stock farm and most recently as a Field Representative. Rugby has played a major role in his life. He has represented the Southland Stags 13 times, as well as captaining Southland Country and his club team. These experiences reinforce the importance of discipline and commitment whilst honing his leadership skills.
