Guy’s love of Auckland is linked to his considerable local heritage, as his family were one of Auckland’s earliest business proprietors. In 1898, they established Wah Lee’s, selling whole foods, housewares and quite famously-fireworks, in Auckland’s CBD. Their family-run business continues to this day.
