Gail & Ken Pianta
Gail
Gail first joined Harcourts in 1997, after an extensive career in nursing and Natural Health and having brought up her 3 children. Immediately, the market took one of its famous and most dramatic dips. But, as the saying goes, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going," and today, Gail is truly established as one of the North Shore's most experienced and successful Real Estate sales people.
Gail first joined Harcourt's Milford office then broadened her experience into the Glenfield market where she also gained her first real estate management experience.
This stood her in good stead for relief managing the Milford office, where she is has been re-established for the past few years, while working alongside highly respected Martin Cooper and studying for AREINZ qualification.
Gail’s experience has covered properties from Devonport to Okura and throughout the North Shore, including Retirement Villages, Rest Homes and Apartment Complexes.
But Gail's first love is helping people achieve their dreams through the sale and purchase of their family homes. She is constantly praised by her clients, for her warmth, sincerity, professionalism and attention to detail, which accounts for much of her repeat and referral business. So many of her clients say; "We achieved an excellent price, and we actually enjoyed the process of selling our home!"
Ken
Ken moved the family from Dunedin in 1997 to assist with the establishment of the Auckland radio station, NewstalkZB. Buying an Ivy-clad cottage in Milford, he proceeded to turn it into a substantial 5 bedroom home.
While most of his working life has been in journalism, advertising and marketing, he has always been fascinated by domestic architecture and has bought and restored a number of interesting homes. This lead to his involvement with the rescue and restoration of the last of Takapuna’s spectacular colonial beach mansions, now the Lake House Arts Centre. 5 years ago, contemplating a change of career that would put paid to life on the motorway it was an obvious step to join Gail in Real Estate.
With literary and sales skills at his finger tips, he is regularly called on by colleagues to provide the creative input for their campaigns. Ken’s effective creative skills, experience, personality and commitment to doing things right have been responsible for many speedy and very successful house sales.
