Locally born into a farming family, Bernadette understands the lay of the land and her community. People, buildings, landscape, and design have always been a passion for her, and that passion took her to Europe where she immersed herself in the architecture, culture, and language of Germany.

Bernadette spent several years in Germany successfully building up her business portfolio; through her ability to communicate and look after her clients’ needs. When the time came to return to New Zealand, Whanganui beckoned her back home where she moved into client account management in media, specialising in marketing and communication.

When the opportunity arose to manage Stihl Shop Wanganui, it was too good to turn down. Bernadette relished the chance to get stuck into this new challenge in a fast moving, high pressure retail and mechanical workshop environment.

Bernadette is a Marriage and Civil Union Celebrant, which she feels is a lovely way to be part of the community. Weaving together her interests in people and property, and adding in her flair for client relations, we see a very natural progression to the Bayleys Whanganui brand. Both Bayleys and Bernadette represent the professionalism and commitment that every client deserves.
