Ben Hickson
About Ben Hickson

As an integral member of the Bayleys Tauranga country team, Ben Hickson brings a down-to-earth, straight talking approach to the marketing and sale of rural and lifestyle property.

Raised on a farm, later managing a dairy property and now living on a rural block, Ben’s broad 20-year career experience across the rural industry is backed up by relevant academic and practical business skills which help add value to his real estate clients’ transactions.

Ben understands the dynamics involved with owning country property. He can talk the talk. And with the advantage of Bayleys’ cooperative team culture and reputable marketing resources behind him, Ben has an established track record for getting the deals done across the wider Bay of Plenty Region.

Real estate and longevity in the industry is dependent on building trusted and meaningful working relationships with clients. Ben’s extensive client database and referral-based business reflects this.

A Tauranga Boys’ College old boy, and recipient of a Regional Farm Cadet award, Ben’s hands-on farming experience was later amplified by tertiary business qualifications at Waikato University.

A role as a training advisor to the agricultural sector, property development experience with his family-owned joint venture in Papamoa, and a stint running his own business within the building industry followed and the skills gained have transferred well into the real estate sector where Ben has proven to be a natural salesperson.

Choosing to align his real estate business with the high-profile Bayleys brand has been exceptionally beneficial to Ben’s clients. Bayleys’ innovative marketing strategies and market-leading business tools all work for the vendor to optimise property asset values in any given market.

Genuinely committed to attaining the best possible results for his clients, Ben’s empathetic, yet at all times professional approach pays off.

Ben and his wife Philipa have three daughters Zoe, Adelyn and Bria that keep their hands full. Outside of real estate, Ben is involved with the Rotary Club of Te Puke which is in a rejuvenating growth phase – and, there’s always work to be done on his 20-hectare property; fences and stock don’t look after themselves…
