About Angus Kelly

Angus Kelly has teamed up with one of Bayley’s top rural agents, Peter Kelly, and is benefitting from a highly capable mentor who possesses an extensive list of buyers and industry participants. Angus joins as the new member of a team with a track record of success, and one that prides themselves on integrity, effort, and good communication skills to achieve the desired result.

Angus has grown up immersed in the rural lifestyle, having been raised on a farm. Angus was born on a farm in Taranaki where his parents Juliet, and Peter were dairy farmers for several years, before relocating to the Waikato, where the family have retained farming interests in the region of Te Kowhai. Angus attended the local Te Kowhai primary school, followed by St Paul’s Collegiate for his secondary schooling where he was part of the inaugural year that Agribusiness was recognised as part of the national curriculum, and St Paul’s were notable leaders for this course. Angus quickly found he had a natural affinity with the subject, as it combined his interest in business and economics with his love and passion for farming. As part of this Angus was involved in the innovation of a new product, the Crankholder - designed to support fencers using post-hole borers- a product which saw them take home the national young innovator of the year awards at the Fielddays.

With Angus’s enjoyment of agribusiness, Lincoln University was the logical next step, where after four years, he graduated with a degree in Land and Property Management, majoring in rural valuation. Whilst attending Lincoln University Angus had a host of holiday jobs, including Yearling preparations for Waikato and Australia’s Arrowfield Stud’s, Western Australian grain harvest, and employment on both Kiwifruit orchards, and Sheep and Beef farms. Angus’s rural interest combined with his Land and Property Management Degree give him a solid foundation of country property and is a background which enhances the service he can offer.

Angus has played team sports his entire life, notably he rowed for St Paul’s Collegiate where he gained medals at the national Maadi Cup regatta. Whilst rowing in the summer, Angus played rugby in the winter, for which he has been involved in a number of winning teams, including this season where his club Hinuera won their division 1 competition. Angus thrives in a team environment where success is the aim of the game, of which is synonymous with the Bayleys mantra of ‘Altogether better’ and provides Angus with a great platform from which to launch his real estate career.
