Regardless of what the market is doing, one thing’s for sure, and that’s people will always need to buy and sell property. Which is where I come in! I’ve had a long-held passion for the industry. Studying at The University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji, I completed a Bachelor Arts in Management & Public Admin & Real Estate, a Post Graduate Diploma in Real Estate and a Master of Business Administration – MBA. With these qualifications behind me, for five years I managed my family’s business back home in Fiji. Sales and marketing, manufacturing, commercial and residential property and project developments were my responsibility. Today, I’m proud to be part of the Barfoot & Thompson team. This family-owned business has been successfully helping people with their property needs since 1923 and from day one, it was clear to me that the company’s values of People, Family, Diversity and Community contribute to making it such a great place to work. Auckland is such a beautiful city. In some ways it feels like a bigger and better version of Suva, Fiji, so I can totally relate to its multicultural makeup, beautiful beaches and stunning views of the Waitemata Harbour. I’ve lived in the New Lynn, Mt Roskill, Lynfield and Blockhouse Bay area for more than two years now. Most of my family lives there, it’s where I buy my groceries and get my hair cut (so I always look sharp when I’m on the job). So it’s no surprise I joined Barfoot & Thompson Mangere to progress my career. Munish Bhatt is a great leader and it’s easy to be productive in our great team environment. Outside of work, sport is a big part of my life, particularly soccer. I like to lead from the front – best captain and best player are some of my awards along with being coach/captain of my team in Fiji. I like listening to music, reading, watching sport and planning a new road trip is always on my to-do list.
