Waihi Beach is a Jewel in the Bay of Plenty. With its stunning ocean beach, harbour and many bush walks it is a place that many have still to discover. Its location is central to surrounding areas such as Auckland, Tauranga, Rotorua, Thames and Hamilton. Many have enjoyed fishing in the harbour and out in the ocean with great catches reported. The harbour is a playground for skiers, families or just the day trippers. We also have fishing competitions that attract many from far afield to our wonderful spot to enjoy the day on the water. Waihi Beach is not only about the water it is also about the lovely bush walks, the bird life, and the surrounding bays. The camping grounds that have been operating here for years. It has a wonderful community feel with the produce market on Sundays, car meets and also the campervan groups that come our way on a regular basis. There is also the yearly "Op Shop Ball" that the locals look forward to each year. There is a very active surf life saving club that operates from Christmas Even through until Easter. The beach has an active shopping village with cafes, clothing shops, bakery, deli and much more on offer. The local primary school has a great reputation and it's only a bus ride into town for the College.
